Are you looking for a job where not every day is the same? Where you can work for a well-known logistics service provider in an international environment? And which also offers you long-term prospects for the future? Then you have come to just the right place at LOXX!
New tasks and challenges await you every day in the professions we offer. You will work with partner companies throughout Europe. We are, therefore, particularly pleased to receive applications from young people whose families come from a country other than Germany and who speak a mother tongue other than German at home.
With us, you will record orders from international customers and will sometimes be "on the road" all over the world during your working day: you will put together offers for our customers and plan the right route so that the goods arrive in Barcelona on time. You will track shipments and tell your colleague that the load has safely reached Helsinki. In the warehouse, you will check whether a consignment from Morocco has been properly transshipped – that is, has been loaded from one truck to the next. In contract logistics, you will also coordinate the storage of goods. Back at the office, you will inform your customer in England about their shipments and answer any questions they may have.
At the end of the training, you will have become acquainted with various departments – from scheduling to customer support to the air and sea freight department – you will work independently in our team and take on responsibility.
On request, this can be shortened to 2 ½ or 2 years (with appropriate previous training)
Abitur, Fachhochschulreife, or a qualification from a commercial college and a good set of grades
Good English skills; if possible, further foreign language skills
Good knowledge of MS Office is desirable
During your training, you will learn how to properly pick goods according to customer orders – in other words, to compile items and pack them professionally. You will learn to accept goods from all over the world, to transport them safely in the warehouse with forklifts, and to load them onto the trucks. You will track goods, check them for damage, and work closely with your team in the warehouse. What's more, you will carry out inventory checks, create loading lists and process shipping documents so that all goods are shipped correctly. You will work in shifts – in the morning shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or in the midday shift from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm – so you are flexible and your day-to-day work is varied.
On request, this can be shortened to 2 ½ or 2 years (with appropriate previous training)
Good secondary school leaving certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) with qualification (10 type B)
Enjoyment of practical work
Physical resilience
In application development, you will design and implement company-specific software applications with us. You will learn the basics of project planning, implementation and control and work with state-of-the-art software development tools. Furthermore, you will test the applications and fix possible errors. Application development also includes training and providing advice to all employees. You will explain the new applications to your colleagues and provide IT support for questions and problems.
During your training, you will plan and implement solutions in the entire IT environment together with our 10-person team. To do this, you will select hardware and software components, procure them, configure them and integrate them. You will systematically limit and remedy any malfunctions that occur. At the same time, you will manage and monitor the systems. You will gain insights into projects and work closely with the team.
With appropriate previous training, the training period can be shortened to 2 or 2 ½ years.
Abitur, Fachhochschulreife, or a qualification as an information technology assistant (m/f/other)
Good average grades in German and mathematics
Good English skills, as well as hardware and software skills
As a Logistics Manager (m/f/other), you will hold all the strings in your hand. You will plan entire logistics processes and organise the implementation of logistics services. To do this, you will remain in close contact with our customers in order to know their requirements and draw up contracts with them. You will also ensure that goods arrive at their destination quickly, while keeping costs as low as possible. Logical and analytical thinking skills are important qualities for this.
You will complete the practical part of your studies at LOXX, and the theoretical part at the ISM International School of Management in Dortmund. Here, among other things, you will learn the basics of commercial law and business informatics and gain knowledge of transport and traffic logistics, logistics IT, and freight forwarding and transport law. You can find more information on the ISM website.
In addition to the Bachelor's degree, you will also have the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) certificate for merchants for forwarding and logistics services (m/f/other) under your belt at the end of your training at LOXX.
